A significant number of people who think they have a problem with alcohol end up in an inpatient rehabilitation center (rehab). While the cost of inpatient rehab is in the thousands of dollars, very few rehab centers publish their success rates. It is unclear why, but after spending a month in a rehab center, many patients are lost to follow up, so success rates may just not be known. What is known, however, is that patients end up going to rehab several times. This is not a positive endorsement for inpatient rehab. Most if not all inpatient rehab centers have a goal of abstinence. Stop At Two believes that this goal is perhaps unrealistic for most people. Severely alcoholic patients very like need to have this goal. But most drinkers, even most daily drinkers, would likely not classify themselves as being severe alcoholics. Most daily drinkers just feel that they drink too much some start to feel that the amount they drink starts to affect their lives in a negative way.
